I am appalled by Bieito staging of Ballo in Maschera at Barcelona in 2000 and 2003 in London. It is outrageous trash to say the least. The so called modern approach to opera is simply disgusting.
O.K., I admitt it’s a modest start, but given a change it might grow on us and we might like it so much that we start apping each other so called D.P.’s out of pure enthousiasm.
What wonderful times we live in and what possibillities!
